Originally released in 1971, the first recording of Hamza's masterpiece Escalay - The Water Wheel became responsible for introducing many to Hamza's music and still remains popular today, thirty years after its original release. It was finally reissued in the US after many years of being out of print, in sparkling remastered sound, with the original liner notes.
